The UNDERDOG Project

Solution:  Help a nonprofit with small administrative and skilled tasks in order to increase their access to talent, funding, and visibility.

Flexible scheduling

Many causes to select from

Virtual and In-Person opportunities added monthly

Stay ahead of issues before they escalate and hit mass media

Earn reward points

Contribute to society vs complain

Small organizations, particularly those led by people of color, are often run by founders who also hold full-time jobs. As a result, expecting them to grow and achieve sustainability, despite their commendable contributions to the community, becomes unrealistic.

Sit on a NPO Board

Do you have capacity for a long term commitment and great leadership skills? Many nonprofits FAIL because they lack the backing of strong board members. Request a list of organizations in need today.

"Board members are the fiduciaries who steer the organization towards a sustainable future by adopting sound, ethical, and legal governance and financial management policies, as well as by making sure the nonprofit has adequate resources to advance its mission."

FYI:

*Volunteering is not tax deductible. However, individuals, businesses, or organizations that provide professional services such as accounting or legal services that meet the criteria set by the IRS may be able to, as it is considered "pro bono" work. Consult with your tax person.

*Socially Immersed will tally the total hours volunteered by the community each quarter and at the end of the year.
